Waiting sucks...

I went to get my betas checked today. My Ob was so freakin' happy that he sent it as a "STAT" script. It is only supposed to take a few hours to get the results instead a few days. 

I did it at noon today and the nurse said she would be able to call by the end of the business day. Still no word. I know I'm just being impatient, but I can't help myself :) I just want to know that baby is doing fine in there.

I am struggling with being excited since this is so new and I'm still spotting. My cramps have pretty much gone away but the spotting is being stubborn. 

I also spoke with my neurologist (I have epilepsy) and she was stunned. Both doctors were sure that my chances of becoming pregnant were very slim. God works in some miraculous ways, though. I also attribute it to my DH being a rock star ;)

However, if all goes well, it looks like I will be getting blood work done every 2 weeks for the next 7 months (the Ob today told me he thinks I'm probably about 7 weeks). FX for high betas!!

    FX for good betas!  I HATED waiting on the nurses to call me with my numbers.  It took forever.

    Fingers and toes crossed for you! I hope you get results soon. I had to wait from the moment I found out, at 4 weeks, until 10 weeks (when I had my first u/s) to know for sure I was pregnant. My doctor never did a confirmation before that, it was torture. :/ It sounds like you have a great team of doctors though that won't keep you waiting too long. Update us when you find out! :)

    I think I wouldn't be feeling so ridiculously impatient if my spotting went away. It's dark brown, but it seems to be getting heavier. I'm feeling my heart sink. They never called me back today. I'm calling first thing in the morning.
